چکیده

This paper studies the retailer's optimal promotional pricing, special order quantity and screening rate for defective items when a temporary price reduction (i.e., TPR) is offered. Although previous have examined similar issue, they assume constant demand an error-free process. A subversion of these two assumptions differentiates our paper. First, using price-sensitive demand, we analyze that original may be insufficient, propose CPD control demand) ISR increase through investment) strategy to handle it. Second, incorporate both Type I II inspection errors into model. Then establish inventory model aiming maximize profit under ISR, respectively. Finally, numerical examples are conducted several results obtained: (1) higher portion defects makes more profitable; (2) probability error decrease but has pronounced negative impact; (3) comparing with existing generates especially in markets sensitivity.

متن کاملRetailer’s Optimal Pricing and Ordering Policies for Non-Instantaneous Deteriorating Items with Price-Dependent Demand and Partial Backlogging
An inventory system for non-instantaneous deteriorating items with price-dependent demand is formulated and solved. A model is developed in which shortages are allowed and partially backlogged, where the backlogging rate is variable and dependent on the waiting time for the next replenishment. The major objective is to determine the optimal selling price, the length of time in which there is no...
متن کاملA Queueing-Inventory System with Repair Center for Defective Items and One-for-One Ordering Policy
In this paper we consider a system consisting of a supplier with a single processing unit, a repair center, and a retailer with Poisson demand. We assume that the retailer applies one-for-one ordering policy with backorders for his inventory control. The retailer’s orders form a queue in the supplier processing unit. We also assume that a certain fraction of the products produced by the supplie...
متن کاملOptimal Manufacturer-Retailer Policies in a Supply Chain with Defective Product and Price Dependent Demand
This study deals with a two-level supply chain consisting of one manufacturer and one retailer. We consider an integrated production inventory system where the manufacturer processes raw materials in order to deliver finished product with imperfect quality to the retailer, where number of defective product has a uniform distribution. The retailer receives product and conducts a 100% inspection....

The objective of this research is to tackle the emerging problem of jointly determining theoptimal retail price, the replenishment cycle, and the cost of preservation technology investment from an integrated perspective among the supplier and the manufacturer. This paper deals an integrated single-manufacturer single-retailer supply chain model for deteriorating items under revenue sharing on p...
